True Confections

Posted by: janu-jennifer | October 6, 2008 |

There’s a new cooking show on TV and I am just loving it. It’s called True Confections (QTV 11 - Saturdays, 6:30PM), and even if it talks about desserts and pastries, I still had a great time watching the show. Well, I cannot eat that much desserts, so might as well just watch it. =)

The show is hosted by Sam Oh together with two pastry chefs Jackie Ang-Po (owner of Fleur de Lys) and Ailene Anastacio. I love watching the show because the instructions are very simple to follow and I love their rapport with their audience. I especially liked chef Jackie’s way of teaching audiences how to decorate their pastries. I have watched chef Jackie (she was still single that time) through another cooking show, “A Taste of Life.” Back then, she was just a support, and now she has her own show. I am a fan of hers, actually.

They prepared three dishes, and because I am not a baker, I think I will just go with how they dressed up lame cupcakes. I guess I will try that out when brother celebrates his birthday next month.

Obviously, I took pictures of our television. I now have another tv show to watch. To the people in the show… good luck and kudos to all!

Oh boy do I ever know about growing up where the food is fantastic and always loaded with calories. Where I grew up everything is fried and/or loaded with sauces, cheeses and gravies.

his is a cool idea for WS….it did make me hungry though.
