Upon waking up Saturday morning, I saw a note by the computer monitor listing the LaPiS themes for the upcoming weeks. I initially thought of posting peanuts as my pica-pica food for this week, but I didn’t clearly see that my brother already wrote peanuts as his take on the theme. Upon knowing that we have the same food for this week, I immediately sent a text message to our sister to buy me chicharon, but she ran out of money, so I thought I might not be able to post something for this week.
Good thing she will go to SM Fairview this day, so I asked her to buy me chicharon again. This one’s the RLapids Chicharon cocktails (the green one). Honestly, this isn’t my favorite chicharon, the one I love the most was the Lapid’s Freshly Popped Chicharon (the maroon one) because the cracklings are much tastier and the vinegar dip is much flavorful. Best of all, it’s much cheaper, too!
Ask me what my favorite food is, and I will tell you it would have to be the chicharon! This is the one food that I really cannot resist. Even with the pre-hypertension and the elevated cholesterol levels, I still have a hard time resisting this food. Of course, upon knowing my medical condition, I have minimized eating chicharon, and I am now eating one bag per month. Before, I really eat this everyday, especially when I was in college. Shhhhh….
Thanks for my brother’s measuring cup for letting me use it as my dip saucer. Let’s eat!
