I just got an e-mail yesterday that Friendster Blogs just transferred from TypePad to WordPress platform. I just heard about this change from Matt Mullenweg (creator of WordPress) himself from the WordCamp Philippines 2008 last 06 September, and already, the change came! Great!
I gave it a try, and oh my, I love this new change! And because of this change, I am more than willing to have this blog updated as much as I can. Well, I already have four blogs I have to update, so this one might not be updated that much, but who knows?
I still don’t know what shall I do with this blog, but I already gave it a working title - “I Live to Eat.” I have always wanted to have a food blog, and I think I already started one from a few weeks back, but it’s not 100% about food. Here, I will be sharing all this food related. Starting this one and with the title I chose doesn’t necessarily mean I am a glutton; I just love to eat, that’s all! This blog will tackle different food related topics such as food trips, recipes I’ve tried out, and all sorts of food articles.
Why such a blog title? When my father was still alive, he showed me this newspaper article saying, “We must eat to live, and not live to eat.” Because I am fat and a good eater at that, dad would always tell me that line whenever we are eating - probably to tell me not to eat much and probably to help me lose weight. The article was a religious article and in a way, dad just wanted to go on a different approach for me to lose weight. The article caused my late father and I some friendly arguments, and as time passed, the line has became a joke for us. We would tell this to each other when we eat! While I was thinking of a title for this blog, that line came back to mind, and as negative as the title might sound, I think I am sticking with it. =)
