Our Drinks

Drinks

Thursday last week, I went to my sister’s school and together we had snacks/dinner at the Food Express of the Gateway Mall in Araneta Center, Cubao. It was only about 4PM, and since we decided not to eat dinner at home, we ordered super heavy snacks to suffice until the next day.

I ordered from KFC — I had their chicken steak and their spaghetti alfredo pasta bowl. Sister ordered from Burger King — she had a whopper burger, fries and 6pcs. cheese tots. She upsized her drinks and fries, so when she went to our table, I felt so sorry for my drink for it looked so small compared to my sister’s drink. But of course, we both enjoyed the snacks, especially that we just chit chat and laugh and all that. It’s always great spending time with my sister.

I seldom go to fast food places. Think I would have liked the KFC though. Italian food is a favorite.

Isn’t it interesting how many fast food joints use the color red. Red must make us hungry. It sure makes me happy. Now that I’m older, I can’t eat as much as I used to. Fast food is pretty much out of the question, too many calories. Eat while you are young, you can diet when you get old. Enjoy your life, laugh and play with you sister all you can. Take care.

Can’t help but notice how the BK “trash can size” dwarfs the KFC “reasonable size”. Hope sister had lots of ice in there!

@Grandma Faith - I read that red makes someone crave, that’s why many restaurants use it. On the other hand, blue suppresses the appetite.

I guess as long as your cup is able to quench your thirst, the size don’t matter :P

I always get the larger drink because they tend to put too much ice in the cup.

my wife’s a KFC junkie. and i’m a burger king die hard. my kids are macdonald’s loyals! but the best burger of all is the whopper!!!!
