I finally found a template that could center my images, so I am going with the change here in the Friendster Blogs. The other blog will be deleted, but if I can find a way to import some of the entries there to here, then it’ll be great. =)
Anyway, this week’s LaPiS theme is “fried.” I cooked this food 30 December last year. The neighborhood was having a pre-New Years’ Day party and I was hoping we could serve this one as our pot luck dish. However, we realized that the squids we bought may not be enough, so I just cooked this as our lunch that day. =)
I have tried so many breading and batter to perfect this dish (at least for me), but I just stick to one formula: to use chicken breading mix and flour as the breading. My sister prefer the mayonnaise dip, but I love it street style - vinegar and chopped onions dip. For this one, I used the Del Monte fried chicken breading mix.
If you wanna try to cook this one, too, I suggest you peel off the skins of the squids first because squid meat shrinks and aesthetically, it would look much better, too. For the breading, the flavored breading tends to be salty, so just use it as a way to enhance the taste. Use more flour. =)
Sorry if this one wasn’t captured good enough. I tried using the flash, but it didn’t look natural, and this one without flash looked a little bland.
